Golden Hour Barbecue is a small, high-performing team dedicated to bringing authentic Texas-style BBQ to Western Nebraska. Ranked #10 in the U.S. for Texas BBQ outside of Texas, we’re proud of what we do—and it all starts behind the scenes. Our team is the backbone of the operation, and we’re looking for someone ready to hustle, learn, and grow alongside us.

Service Line- first & second shift (Part-Time)

  •  • First Shift: Friday & Saturday, 4:30PM–9:30PM
    • Second Shift: Sunday & Monday, 9:30AM–4:30PM
    Come in 1–1.5 hours early depending on daily prep needs.

    • Set up the service line and fixings station

    • Assemble coleslaw, mac & cheese, and other sides
      Provide friendly, efficient customer service during peak hours

    • Tear down and clean the service line after service

    • Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams

  • High school students or early-career professionals with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn. Friendly, fast, and focused under pressure.

Prep / Pit-Master (Full-Time)

  • Friday–Monday, 4:00/5:00AM–3:00PM
    This is a high-responsibility, high-reward role. You’ll be trained on key BBQ prep tasks and help run the smokers.

    • 50% prep / 50% pit & meat work

    • Make cornbread casserole, cheese sauce, pickles, onions, peppers, and BBQ sauce

    • Grind proteins, trim meats, and prepare daily offerings

    • Assist with meat cutting and presentation

    • Set up and maintain an efficient prep station

    • Follow all food safety and quality standards

    • Knife skills and previous kitchen experience preferred

    • Can juggle multiple tasks under pressure

    • Ready to learn and take initiative

    • Able to lift 50 lbs overhead and be on your feet all day

    • Comfortable taking on high expectations and leadership over time

    • Comfortable with consistent feedback

Bartender / Event Support

  • Varies depending on event bookings (mostly evenings and weekends)

    This role is part-time and ideal for someone with bartending experience who enjoys working private events and bringing energy to a fun, fast-paced environment.

    • Set up and break down bar stations at our restaurant and banquet hall

    • Greet guests and serve beer, wine, and simple cocktails

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional bar area

    • Restock inventory and prep garnishes

    • Help with event setup and cleanup (including cleaning restrooms, assisting with décor, etc.)

    • Work alongside the event coordinator to support smooth, memorable events

    • Prior bartending or customer-facing experience required

    • Friendly and confident with guests

    • Able to stay organized and efficient during busy moments

    • Willing to jump in wherever needed—this is a team-first role

    • Must be 19+ and able to lift 20 lbs
